Sales Development Representative

A great opportunity for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join a successful growing software company based in Lancaster. 

As a Sales Development Representative, experience of working in the IT or software industry would be an advantage.

As a Sales Development Representative you responsibilities will include the following:

Responsibilities

Working as part of a small team, the Sales Development Representative will be responsible for finding and securing new business and selling our products. After initial, thorough, training, duties will include:

  • Achieve monthly quotas of demonstrations arranged and opportunities qualified.
  • Work alongside BDMs to proactively prospect accessplanit solutions into targeted accounts. This includes: researching and identifying potential best fit clients and key contacts; calling and emailing prospects to generate initial interest and setting demonstrations for BDMs.
  • Understand the needs of our target prospects and articulate the value that the accessplanit solution provides.
  • Follow-up on marketing-generated leads.
  • Maintain accurate and current information on prospects and interaction activities in company CRM systems.
  • Conducting live high-level product demonstrations.
  • Managing sales opportunities and the pipeline.
  • Keeping up to date with the product developments and new features.

Experience

To be considered for the role of Sales Development Representative candidates must have:

  • 1+ years of sales development experience in a B2B environment.
  • A track record of prospecting/lead generation.
  • A ‘hunter’ mentality - comfortable prospecting, cold-calling, and following up on incoming leads and strong desire to win.
  • A strong passion to learn and improve.
  • Confident presentation skills, a comfort level with senior professionals and the communications skills to articulate accessplanit solutions to a wide range of organisational and functional levels.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills.
  • Good time management with strong organizational skills.
  • A problem solver, with the ability to think creatively.

Experience of selling software, working in the training or education sector, using networking tools like LinkedIn and some form of sales training would be extremely beneficial for this role.

Additionally, applicants must have excellent English grammar and proposal-writing skills, excellent communication skills both on the phone and in writing, an outstanding time management skills, a committed approach, and a genuine enthusiasm for understanding the prospect’s needs and requirements.

Candidates must be self-starting, motivated, goal orientated and able to work independently.

The position will be based out of our Lancaster office but may involve occasional travel.
