This football club has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Network Analyst to join their busy IT Services team. This is a key role within the team and will support the Head of IT Services to ensure the configuration, up keep and deployment of IT infrastructure at both the Stadium and the Training Centre.
As a member of the IT Services Team, the Network Analyst will also ensure consistent and professional service delivery to all departments within the Club to ensure the stable operation of the Clubs systems, software and hardware.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, quick thinking, with a real flair for problem solving. They will have excellent time management and communication skills with the ability to adapt their "tech language" accordingly for the end user.
Responsibilities would include:
- First, Second and Third Line IT Support where appropriate
- Assisting the Head of IT Services with the development and maintenance of the software and hardware infrastructure at the Stadium and Training Ground and to ensure that all services are operating to the highest standard
- To take co-responsibility for ensuring hardware is configured, implemented and documented to the highest standard, and to ensure that implementation on the Core Network is only carried out after simulation on the Test Network
- To ensure our network monitoring tools are fully utilised to offer an 'early warning' system and to show bottle necks, hardware faults and potentially malicious activity as well as the ability to supply regular written (data export/scheduled) reports on network performance and utilisation and "headline dashboards" where appropriate
- To be co-responsible for ensuring all backup solutions are running correctly, and that standby restore VMs are available to use in a DR scenario, performing and documenting test VM restores and test file restores
- To recommend and undertake Updates, improvements, (including Hotfixes and Service Packs) where appropriate to improve performance and services
- To positively contribute ideas, suggestions or improvement of business processes keeping abreast of technical developments, evaluating, recommending and implementing new technologies
The successful candidate will require:
- Computing Degree (HND) or equivalent
- Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCP, MSCE, or equivalent experience
- Experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting Windows 2008/2012 Server & Windows 7 & 10, iOS & MacOS
- Experience in configuration of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy Editing & Exchange 2010
- Experience of working with large (IPV4/V6) networks, routing, firewalls, Cisco/HP Switches, VLANS and VPNs
- Experience of cloud hosted environments as well as Thin Client & Terminal Service solutions
