Details:
The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of medical affairs excellence and provide dynamic leadership within the regional CDMA organization in order to deliver business results and ensure effective deployment of Safety/Compliance across GSKCH business.

This position will support the Area Medical Affairs Director / Lead in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the CDMA Community, plus ensuring that collaboration with the various business functions that rely on the CDMA functions to drive and implement product strategies including Global RD Category Leads, Regional Commercial Leads, Regional Commercial Operations Directors and GM's, Safety, Legal, Corporate Compliance functions is performing optimally.

This role is a leadership role, accountable for a team, structured into specific local clusters, based in a strategic location and will have significant accountability for- and oversight of the following activities with the added complexity of multiple Regions and stakeholders, cultures, different LOCs, Category Medical Affairs teams with complex governance and business expectations:

• Assessing and enhancing Global Medical Affairs Community Operating Model to drive results for GSK CH
• Leading the initiation, development and implementation of process improvement plans to enhance organizational efficiency and continuous improvement.
o Delivering KPIs to measure success / improvement areas, and drives transparency through consistent communications.
• Supporting the Area Medical Affairs Director in delivering the annual goals and objectives activities to ensure that all Medical functions are appropriately aligned with the global launch and regional marketing plans, plus that the enabling functions (Safety, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance functions, Finance, etc.) are aligned to support CDMA strategic objectives and service levels.
• Drive medical communication and publication strategy across all Categories
• At a regional project specific level ensure alignment with product strategies and drive execution timelines, ensure budget oversight and share metrics around deliverables and successes
• Key contributor to the NE MA Team
• Scientific engagement activities
• Key Regional interface on behalf of GSK with external organizations including Health Authorities, Healthcare Organizations, External Experts etc
• Medical Affairs activities including but not restricted to:
o Strategic support based on medical concepts, ethics and consumers safety and well-being,
o Support to accurate, technically supported and business oriented claims
o Support to market information on data collection and analysis of GSK products and competitors
o Promotional materials evaluation and approval in zinc

These activities will involve building networks with and working closely with stakeholders within Regions and LOCs - including Area and LOC commercial directors, with partnership and medical accountability to them for supporting the business and consumer expectations in the region/ area.
