Care workers required - Brownsfield House, Cambridge, CB4
Full/part time contracts available
GBP8.45 per hour weekdays, GBP11.17 per hour weekends.
Brownsfield House is a purpose built dementia care home for up to 28 residents. Located in Chesterton, Cambridge we are close to NHS Addenbrookes hospital and have close links to the city centre.
The role of a Care Worker at Brownsfield House involves working closely with our residents to ensure they have every opportunity to fulfil their needs and enjoy life. You will promote the physical, social, intellectual and emotional wellbeing of our residents, whilst promoting their independence and assisting with tasks that have become more difficult.
Varied duties will include providing assistance with personal care, continence care, feeding and general well being. This includes participating in activities with our residents, such as our 'Breath of fresh air initiative and our playlist for life accreditation.
Previous experience for this role is not essential as you will receive on the job support and training. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate and interact well with people, be comfortable working both on their own and as part of a team. You will need to have empathy and understand the needs of older people. Upon commencement, Care Workers must be willing to undertake training to achieve NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
