My client is a well established and leading UK Tour Operator whom is expanding their team and offering a great opportunity for a self motivated, hard working IT engineer to join them. As an IT Engineer it will be your priority to maintain all aspects of the IT infrastructure ensuring the company's systems are working to their optimum to maximise the efficient working practices both remotely and on site. This is a critical role to fulfil ensuring the success through the advancement of IT solutions that pro-actively support safer working and learning for all staff.
You will be expected to research, plan, implement, document and support IT projects within the business and the role will primarily be held at the company's head quarters close to Thurrock, travel to other group sites may also sometimes be required which means a full UK clean licence will be a vital factor for your application to be considered.
There are many duties associated with this role which will ensure no two days are ever the same making the environment an interesting place to work, some of the duties of the role are below:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Talking other staff members through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone to resolve any issues
- Trouble shooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving any hardware or software faults
- Replacing parts as required with any faulty machinery
- Responding within agreed time limits to logged calls
Technical experience is a prerequisite and ideally in software such as Office 365 and sharepoint.
Working hours are very sociable and will consist of Monday - Friday 9am-5pm, the company also offers many great benefits ensuring that this is an opportunity that you will not want to miss!
