With a rich Cornish heritage, our client produces high quality pastry products that are enjoyed and loved by thousands across the UK. They are now looking for a Production Manager to join their team in Bodmin.

Our client’s story started back in 1988 when three Cornishmen became unsatisfied with sub-standard Cornish pasties. Since then, our client has won multiple awards for their mouth-watering products and need you to play a key role in the next part of their success story.   

As the Production Manager, you’ll ensure that our client’s products are crafted to the highest standards. 

Leading, motivating and guiding your team, you’ll effectively schedule tasks to maximise productivity and ensure that all activities are completed in-line with H&S guidelines. 

Specifically, your duties will involve:

- Reviewing the quality of products (that doesn’t necessarily mean eating them – sorry!)
- Ensuring that PPE is being worn and is to the correct standard
- Making sure that machine start up checks have been completed 
- Investigating any accidents with the H&S Manager 
- Reviewing, implementing and updating risk assessments
- Completing reporting tasks 

Interested? To be considered, you will need:

- Experience as a production manager and/or supervisor 
- Previous experience of leading a team 
- Food manufacturing experience 
- A Level 2 qualification in H&S and Food Safety
