We have an exciting opportunity for an analyst to join Aviva's market leading data analytics team.

Aviva UK Health pays over GBP400m in claims every year, through a wide spectrum of healthcare suppliers (over 1500 facilities and 35000 specialists). The role of the supply chain team is to manage these providers in the most optimal way, to ensure excellent customer experience and clinical outcomes, at the best price. This involves complex modelling of customer behaviour and clinical pathways, as well as identifying any potential area of claims leakage and inefficiency within current processes.

This role would use data analysis and modelling techniques to play a key part in forming the strategy for how Aviva Health UK work with their suppliers, in order to achieve our desired business outcomes as efficiently as possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Develop an understanding of the private healthcare market and products to enable optimal supply chain strategy
- Support the development of data analytics techniques and tools to deliver proactive models and insight to help to optimise the suppliers used
- Support the development of a proactive approach to fraud and claims leakage management across Aviva UK Health Supply Chain
- Develop and conceptualise data analytics and modelling to support the strategic thinking that underpins Aviva UK Health's supply chain activity
- Present analytical findings and insight to both internal and external stakeholders to inform and influence supply chain strategy.
- Assist the ongoing development of the strategy and roadmap of Supply Chain
- Support the development and implementation of High Performing Team principles within Supply Chain team

Skills & Experience required

- Educated to a degree level
- Highly numerate with strong analytical capability
- Familiar with statistical techniques and methods including hypothesis testing (t-test, p-values), confidence intervals, regression & classification.
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work on multiple activities at the same time, juggling priorities
- Knowledge of the Healthcare industry (desirable)
- Experience of handling, analysing and reporting on large data sets
- Knowledge of data handling and statistical tools such as SQL,SAS,R
- Experience in a commercial environment (desirable)
- Experience of working in a project-based environment
