Due to significant growth in the curriculum area, we are currently recruiting for a Lecturer in AS/A Level Biology, with a demonstrable record of outstanding student achievement and a commitment to driving forward the Biology provision to ensure student success.
As an ambitious Lecturer, delivering inspiring and exciting AS/A-Level Biology sessions, you will be a dynamic practitioner who promotes and upholds the same high expectations as the College and its' students. You will work closely within the A Levels Division to ensure that students are actively engaged in all aspects of the delivery of AS/A Level Biology and you will also liaise with Cross-College areas to enhance the student experience and provide the widest range of opportunities to our students.
As a Lecturer you will teach, relevant to subject specialism, up to 832 hours per year.
With a degree level qualification in Biology or a related subject, and a PGCE or Certificate in Education, you will possess detailed knowledge of current AS/A Level Biology specifications and of current issues in Further Education relating to the curriculum area. You will also have the ability to display excellent teaching skills in the delivery of AS/A Level Biology. The ability to deliver AS/A Level Further Biology would be advantageous, but is not essential
