4myschools are currently recruiting for a dynamic PE Teacher to take on a long term maternity contract. The ideal candidate will be experienced teaching PE to Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and preferably Key Stage 5 and Btec but this is not compulsory. The school are very keen to meet with passionate PE Teachers! Ideally you will also have a core second subject to support other areas of the school also (Maths, Science or English)
The school:
The school is an oversubscribed school on the edge of St Albans with nearly 1200 pupils - including 300 sixth form pupils, it has recently had major works completed including a new PE block with state of the art equipment, these include all weather pitches and indoor/outdoor PE facilities that the whole community can benefit from.
The Head likes to push the pupils to do their best both in and out of the class room, this is shown in their impressive results at GCSE and A-Level. This has ranked them in the top 3 % of comprehensives in the country.
