Job title: Toilet and Water Operative

Location: Bristol Airport

Reporting to: Duty Manager, Station Manager

Shift:

(Driver) 3 on 3 off 12 hour shifts

Purpose:

To provide our customers with an efficient professional cleaning service as per their specifications to include secure cleans/ searches if requested. Abide to the relevant airport policies and our own company policies and procedures. Health and Safety Policies, Ramp Awareness and Operational Excellence will play a key part in this role. Project a smart able attitude to our customers through, thorough work practices and excellent customer service. It is not intended that the job description should reflect all tasks to be undertaken, but is intended to define the main areas of work. It is therefore not exhaustive.

Principle accountabilities:

* To clean air crafts, offices and associated work
* To carry out secure cleans
* To ensure accurate information is completed on all required paperwork.
* To carry out pre-driving checks inc: tyres, water, oils, lights, indicators, brakes, fuel and overall condition of vehicles.
* To assist with the cleaning of aircraft, offices, secure cleans and associated work when requested (within health and safety regulations).
* Project a smart and able attitude to our customers through, thorough work practises and a high degree of personal appearance at all times, ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures.
* Liaise with you duty manager / operations on any faults with your allocated vehicle
* Report any health and safety matters that give you concern to your duty manager/ station Manager
* Carry out weekly sterilisation and fill out relevant paperwork as per company procedure
* Correct use of chlorination powder / elsil when filling potable water
* Correct use of degerm powders/fluid (blues) when using toilet bowsers
* Be aware of the toilet dumping and filing (inc frost) procedures relevant to all aircraft in your airport
* Be aware of the potable water drain/fill procedure (inc frost) for all aircraft in your airport
* To maintain the cleanliness of your vehicles inside and out ensuring we are perceived to be the best and most cleaning company
* Carry out any other duties connected with our contracts to ensure our customer receives the highest possible service
* To fully understand all company procedures ensuring they are adhered to at all times
* To carry out any additional duties as required

Skills and qualification requirements:

* Proven experience gained in either Cleaning, Aviation, Ground Handling or similar industry
* Good working knowledge of Aviation Operations
* Ideally 2 years supervisory experience
* Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Must be able to obtain and retain a Full Air side Pass
* Full Clean Driving license and be able to pass the air side driving test

The individual for this role should have good communication skills and the ability to deal with customers and staff in a positive and motivational manner. They will need the ability to react quickly to given situations, using innovative, creative solutions, and not be afraid of becoming one of the team if the situation demands it. Heavy lifting and working in extreme weather will apply. All our staff are expected to be flexible in their duties and their rosters due to the ever-changing nature of our business. They should have a working knowledge of IT encompassing but not limited to Word, Excel, and Email.

This role is dependent upon the successful candidate being able to obtain and hold a full air side pass.

Salary: GBP7.90 /hour
