As a key member of the HR senior management the role holder will be responsible for the provision of training, learning and development services that directly contribute towards Anchor's business plan.
The remit of the role includes: delivery of operational training; management development; optimising the Apprenticeship levy return (through delivery of appropriate qualifications or otherwise) and project management activities such as overseeing Anchor's talent management and succession planning processes in order to support business priorities.
- Deliver quality, value-adding learning & development services in line with business requirements across Anchor and any legislative/regulatory requirements, including supporting the roll out of any corporate projects.
- Plan effective use of the annual budget, monitor at least monthly and control expenditure to plan.
- Implement a robust evaluation strategy to ensure that there is a measurable return on investment.
- Set performance expectations for learning & development team, ensuring members are engaged and able to give of their best via effective and regular 1:2:1 coaching and development plans for individuals and the overall team.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure collaborative working and promote Anchor as a great place to work.
- Develop expertise and knowledge of external learning & development trends within the sector and wider and propose any improvements to HR Director that will drive efficiencies and continuous improvement for training & activity.
- Own and manage third party learning & development suppliers as applicable to agreed contract terms, in conjunction with support from procurement colleagues.
- Develop and deliver learning & development management information and reporting including business KPI narrative. Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners to support the business make improvements where required.
- Develop and maintain learning & development policies, including performance and talent management and other collateral (e-learning and otherwise).
- Own the annual performance management cycle and associated project management activities, working with HR colleagues to support deliverables.
