The Analyst is a datacentric role with key emphasis on data manipulation, interpretation and insight. Identifying commercial opportunity and directing and challenging client strategy
Supporting the client reporting function across Account Team - developing innovative and leading-edge reporting solutions bespoke for each client for the Account Managers to utilize.

The Analyst will aid in the development of the Excel skills of the Account Team.

Creating ad hoc reporting and analysis for clients.

Developing reporting tools for current people database identifying performance indicators from data and reporting, working closely with Recruitment & Quality Manager and Head of Operations to help them create strategies to deliver quality initiatives.

Analyzing data entries from field to create store by store performance analytics.

Category/Channel Business Plans
• Influence receipt of all store and channel data to gain maximum visibility / control and delivery of added value services and ROI.
• As directed by Insights lead evaluate and present ROI data in compelling and simple format for delivery to Client via Account Teams
• Lead the development of reporting models. Establishing multi functional team communication and contact points.

The role will include
Distribution - NPD & Core Listings
Managing regular Channel/Retail gap analysis studies and building Category plans to address all key retail distribution opportunities for nominated clients

Promotional & Pricing Evaluation
Examining and assessing in-store pricing structures to gain understanding of key consumer and customer pricing structures. Prepare action plans to resolve issues / exploit opportunities
Analyse promotional calendars for the relevant retailers to generate execution guidelines, predictive modelling capability and key recommendations.

Reporting
Build regular bespoke data reports for Account Team to use to deliver to their clients
Adhoc statistical reporting across clients / business
Field optimization
Providing a dynamic call file set driven by EPOS data analytical capability and other third-party data sources where necessary
Projects
Working closely with Recruitment & Quality Manager/ Head of Tactical Operations to develop reporting tools to identify performance indicators for the field reps
Analyse data across all campaigns to derive store by store performance and drive strategy for recommendations to clients/Recruitment & Quality Manager re findings
Working closely with the Account Manager/Head of Operations to raise Excel/PowerPoint skill levels within the wider team
To apply for this role the Analyst should have the following skills
Essential
Good broad commercial skills
Problem solving & decision making
High PC literacy; advanced Excel essential
Excellent communication skills verbal and written
Relationship building
Good time management and multi tasking skills
Preferable
Degree - marketing / business discipline with a statistical/maths emphasis
Commercial experience in FMCG
Field Sales/Category management experience
Tactical environment experience

Previous Experience:
Ideally Circa. 2+ years of commercial FMCG experience in a developed market Channel / Customer Marketing or Market Research.
Hands on data manipulation.
Proven Insights experience.
Preferably with experience in category management. Blue chip experience in Channel Marketing preferred
