Role Purpose
• HSBC's goal is to re-imagine banking and build world class banking services for customers across the world. This means continuing to enhance a strong and secure brand that is willing and able to evolve in rapidly changing world - especially in response to digital technology.
• In the past twelve months, RBWM Digital has made significant progress in setting up a brand new digital organisation and ways of working which supports this goal. Seven functions have been created to support our goal to become a fully formed digital organization - the largest one being HSBC Digital Solutions (HDS).
• Ongoing organisational evolution will take place during 2018 - so that we can increase the volume of digital products and features delivered (more features, more markets) and ensure that these are being fully adopted and used by existing/new customers.
• It is critical that these changes are communicated effectively within Digital and across broader
• organization.
• An experienced digital copywriter is required to support the development and delivery of impactful communications on behalf of RBWM Digital which drive a comprehensive understanding and engagement with our strategy and the significant progress being made in delivering it.
• Reporting into the Global Head of Digital Engagement, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing copy for a wide range of communication assets and events ensuring these are suitable for international audiences from a variety of backgrounds.
Key Accountabilities
Impact on Business
• Lead and manage all digital communications copywriting activity in line with agreed plans - includes 3rd party activity
• Production of high quality and accurate copy for print, digital and social channels.
• Production of long and short form copy for a variety of projects and audiences. Work streams include feature launch postcards, feature launch playbooks, digital update calls, digital town halls, presentation copy.
• Analysis of information from a range of internal and external sources which to improve the quality and impact of communications projects, e.g. key facts, statistics, customer insights
• Safeguard and maintain digital narrative / messaging for each audience - ensuring this is re-used across communications activity to maximise impact.

Qualifications
• English copywriting qualifications or equivalent
• Experience of multi-channel content creation (print, digital, social, intranet)
• Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues
• Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers
• Excellent time management and prioritisation of projects and tasks
• Experience of working with agencies
• High levels of resilience and self-motivation.
• Experience of working in the digital industry highly desirable
