Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5pm

Salary: GBP12,675

About the role

We are looking for an Apprentice Administrator to provide an effective and efficient, professional & flexible administrative service to support clients. The role forms part of an Administration Resource Pool, which supports West Sussex County Council departments with administration tasks across a variety of departments.

What you will do:

The specific accountabilities for this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the business/client, but accountabilities will include (or to be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:

Take notes, requiring intense concentration over lengthy periods, analysing and interpreting sometimes complicated information which is also sensitive/disturbing/highly confidential, such as note taking at Child Protection conferences

Deliver timely and efficient financial administrative support to a team or across teams with an awareness of team requirements

Deliver a flexible administrative service to a diverse range of internal clients to a high standard. To include: creation of sometimes complicated documents in specialist ICT software, electronic filing systems, report writing, organisation of events/courses

Communicate with and develop good working relationships with a wide and diverse range of people, such as Senior Management, customers, key contacts and members of the public

Your experience will include:

Must to able to handle sensitive and potentially disturbing information with professionalism and maturity
Good understanding of data management, including collecting and processing
Good knowledge of a wide and varied range of ICT software.
Experience of working within administrative office systems/practices and providing effective flexible administrative support to various areas.
Demonstrable evidence of organising and handling data sets, of turning data into information and administrative output i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
Ability to take electronic notes during meetings.
Good at organising day to day workload in order to follow/meet a given brief
Experience and confidence in dealing with people and the ability to establish credibility to all levels of the organisation
