We are working with a leading polymer recovery company who have requirement for a purchasing manager. Reporting to the commercial director will be responsible for the planning and execution of the supply chain procurement needs, and overseeing all raw material, packaging and purchasing activities.
There are a number of duties within those responsibilities including, but not limited to; closely monitoring marketing trends and pricing adjustments to ensure the sales team are aware of any impending increases/decreases, raising and issuing purchase orders for suppliers and working with the commercial director to set up new supply contracts with suppliers both in the UK and worldwide.
In order to be considered for this role, you must possess excellent negotiation skills, have good computer skills including MS programs; Outlook, Excel and Word and an ability to learn a bespoke ERP system with speed.
Travelling is required both in the UK and internationally and so a full UK driving license is essential
