About the Senior Marketing Executive role

This role will deliver all e-marketing communications, including sales and customer journey communications for two global leaders in the sailing holiday market, Sunsail and The Moorings. Working with UK Marketing Manager and the wider commercial team, we are looking for someone with the creativity to write engaging content, build landing pages and deliver successful email marketing campaigns. Experience of working with CMS systems, the ability to identify and analyse customer segments, write excellent copy, measure results and make recommendations is a requirement of this role. Proactive and enthusiastic, this is a fantastic role for someone with a passion for travel and the outdoors.

The role requires strong organisational and planning skills as this person will deliver regular communications through the newsletters, weekly sales emails and pre-departure communications. Monitoring performance on all campaigns on a weekly basis, reviewing results and analysing performance is a key objective. Flexibility and a “can-do” attitude are needed to deal with the unexpected, for example when issues or events arise in our destinations and we need to notify customers by email, or if we have news our customers simply need to hear before anyone else!

Duties include:

- Writing content and building emails and landing pages for all e-marketing communications, including our new tactical, weekly offers and customer journey emails

- Delivering e-marketing campaigns  through the CMS system

- Working with CRM Team to identify key data segments, submit data requests and quality check data

- Analysing and reporting of results and recommendations

- Supporting UK Marketing Manager with offline channel communications e.g. press and direct mail, social and website and other tasks as required

- Review, improve and produce copy - reflecting brand essence and tone of voice – across all communication touchpoints across the customer journey, and for all marketing and communication materials

- Work with brand and design team to provide copy and headlines for branded communication templates such as direct mail, email, on and offline advertising, brochures and newsletters for use across all markets

- Develop copy and produce key messages that can be efficiently and effectively translated by local teams to reflect their local market needs. Work closely with the brand team and local marketing teams to ensure that tone of voice is consistent across markets and channels

- Generate and research new ideas for email content. Liaising with internal marketing teams, Marine bases, brand partners, tourist boards and reviewing competitor communications to produce inspirational new content

- Review and improve copy across the customer journey, to help improve customer navigation and brand/product understanding

- Ensure online content meets SEO best practice guidelines and is aligned to internal strategies which support natural search rankings

Key Skills & Requirements of our Senior Marketing Executive

- We Are Looking for someone with

- A talent for writing content and E-mail presentation that engages and inspires

- Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrable use of using own initiative

- Flexible approach with ability to take up new challenges and embrace change

- Proven background of copywriting skills and Email campaign delivery

- Analytical mind with demonstration of regular reporting on activity and making recommendations

- An understanding of HTML

- Familiarity with updating website content in the CMS

- Experience of working with Adobe Creative Suite and Hubspot is desired but not essential

- Team focussed, always happy and willing to get involved where it is needed, whether that is part of your job description or not

- Experience in sailing is desirable but not essential
