Salary: £19,700 - £26,800 (depending on experience)

The organisation is seeking a number of Claims Handlers to work in their head office in Milton Keynes. The key purpose of the role is to handle all aspects of the claim, to conduct a thorough investigation and decide on the settlement according to best practice and within your own authority, whilst maintaining a positive customer experience.

You will do this by:

  • Handling and settling uninsured and untraced claims made upon the Bureau promptly and fairly.
  • To process work chronologically and/or in order of priority.
  • To deal with all aspects of claims handling including letter writing, telephone contact, diary management, valuation, negotiation and settlement.

This is an ideal role for an individual who is looking to make a real difference in the motor insurance industry. The successful candidate will already have or be willing to study for a level 3 of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) which is equivalent to 2 pass grades in A-levels, CII Level 3 Certificate or NVQ Level 3.

You should also have:

  • Demonstrable experience in the insurance industry, ideally in motor or injury related claims.
  • An understanding of the Road Traffic Act, Article 75 and EC Directives.
  • An understanding of motor insurance and claims principles in general.
