Finance Business Partner

The UK's leading and best-known food on the go retailer are currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent, full-time basis at their Newcastle Head Office. The Role
You would be tasked with supporting the IT team in Newcastle, producing reports, providing analysis and insight and acting as a trusted finance advisor on key IT operational and investment decisions. You would be expected to work with key members of the IT team to develop their understanding of finance and financial implications of their decisions, leading the budget and forecast process with a clear understanding of the key cost drivers, as well as developing longer term forecasts across IT spend.

You would also support the central management teams, providing weekly and monthly reporting, creating commentary to go with the board pack schedules, and reporting on the progress of key business efficiency programmes across the business, highlighting any risks to benefit delivery.

The Candidate
The role will suit a CIMA/ACCA qualified accountancy professional, preferably with significant financial reporting and analysis experience within a fast-paced retail / manufacturing environment. You will be a highly proactive individual, with an inquisitive nature and confidence to challenge decisions. A high standard of problem solving ability will be essential, as will a creative approach to analysis plus a high competency in manipulating and developing large spreadsheets. You will be well organised, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Furthermore, you must be IT literate with advanced Excel skills and will be a confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders plus non-Finance colleagues.
