The Shift for this position is as follows:

-Mon-Fri from 07:00 to 17:00 including one Saturday a month (half day)

To deliver customers products to the required premises ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi drop delivery route. The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers' premises, treating their freight as if it were our own.Role Summary:

Main Responsibilities

Driving

-Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.

-Ensure that consideration is given to the public and the customer when making a delivery.

-Ensure all daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are immediately reported and associated paperwork completed..

-Complete all necessary paperwork on time and in full.

-Ensure all product is scanned using the companies scanning equipment.

-Ensure all deliveries are loaded and secure before leaving depot

-Use mobile phone / scanning equipment to take images as and when required

-Ensure all Pre-delivery phone calls are made

-Undertake a pre/debrief ensuring all information is relayed to the traffic office

-Check all returns and collections are made and are correct

-Assist in the loading of vehicles as and when required.

-To be respectful to other road users and members of the public ensuring the reputation of the business is protected at all times.

-Observe Company rules and procedures as defined in the Driver's Handbook and other Company Policies and Procedures.

-Ensure the correct equipment and methods are utilised for the safe handling of stock.

-Ensure the security of stock and company assets by reporting any suspicious activity to your line manager or the securities team.

-Ensure that all personal protective equipment (PPE) used is in good order and is utilised as instructed

-Ensure all operations are undertaken in line with the relevant SSOW.

-Continually seek to improve our processes and services.

-Ensure all delivery and on road issues are reported to the traffic office immediately.

Customer Service

-To deal with customer queries in a polite and effective manner, not leaving the customer until they are satisfied.

-To relay any issues that may impact on customer service immediately.

-To ensure the customer receives their deliveries in excellent condition every time.

-Where required interact with customers, building rapport and ensuring a consistent positive message.

-To address others who do not act in the customers best interest.

-Ensures customers are kept informed of issues and communicated with in a polite and courteous manner.

-To ensure customers goods are transported and stored safely on their premises.

Essential Criteria:

-CPC trained

-Must hold the relevant licence for the class of vehicle

-Good geographical knowledge

-Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service

-Problem Solver - Working to resolve customer problems at the point of delivery

-Ability to build rapport with customers

-Proven track record of driving vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
