Venturers Trust is a new Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. The Trust is co-sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol.
We are seeking to recruit 2 Finance Assistants to join our small and friendly finance team. Our ideal candidates will have preferably some academy or school experience as well as knowledge of a school based finance system such as Corero or PS Financials, Parent Pay and SIMS, however training will be provided for the use of these systems.
Reporting to the Chief Accountant and working with other finance team members, you will provide efficient and effective financial support required to meet the Trust core financial responsibilities. Tasks will involve processing purchase orders, invoices and goods received; preparing pay lists for authorisation to process payments via electronic banking, dealing with enquiries from school staff and external customers. The role will include data entry, and administration so we are looking for a candidate who has meticulous attention to detail as well as a sense of urgency. Overall this post requires a hardworking, highly confidential and diligent team player, who is excited to learn and grow in this role.
