Our client, a well established Manufacturing Company, has a new opportunity to join the business as a senior Stores/FLT Driver to report directly to the Logistics Supervisor.

The main Purpose of the role is to be responsible for the supervision of work orders, task planning, leadership and supervision of a team of 3 staff, the storage, packaging and distribution of quality products and stock levels of materials onsite, all within specified timeframes and with the least amount of waste by:

• Operate within the Integrated Management System at all time whilst being authorised to raise improvement ideas to the continuous improvement or Senior Management Teams.
• Ensuring effective planning of your team's daily workload and a smooth flow of materials is achieved at all times to aid in the key production and distribution of product throughout all of the shifts.
• Ensuring you and your team members are highly trained and multi skilled in all areas of the goods in/out area through written, agreed and implemented training plans.
• Review your Teams progress on continuous improvement projects by checking tasks and pushing for a completion date.
• Take full responsibility for ensuring the raising/completion of Works Orders and paperwork are completed accurately and clearly for all shifts.
• Ensure compliance to SOP's, Risk assessments, technical drawings supplied with the Works Orders and direction from managers at every stage.
• Take full responsibility for the Health and Safety of yourself and your staff. Ensuring you are all equipped and prepared to complete all tasks.
• Work closely with you team and the maintenance team to ensure that all machinery and equipment is well maintained to a good standard.
• Constantly drive a culture of exceeding targets and continuous improvement.
• Input and output data and information responsibly from the company systems whilst bearing in mind the social media and computer use policies in place.
• When required take responsibility for the security of the building during your working hours paying particular attention to opening and closing of the building at the start and end.
• Take ownership of the materials flow for the entire stores area. Ensuring adequate stock levels are kept and items are replenished in good time.
• Complete fully and accurately any other reasonable request by a manager.

Skills Required:

• Excellent product knowledge and manufacturing experience
• Ability to work under pressure and still achieve results
• Counter Balance Fork Lift Licence
• Supervisory, Leadership or Management Qualifications would be desirable
• Manufacturing systems experience

Due to the location of my client, if you are not close to Lee Mill then you will need your own transport. A permanent position, training on days for 4 weeks then working 05.45 to 14.15 Monday to Friday.
