Communications Executive, Visit County Durham (VCD)
VCD works with tourism businesses and partners locally and nationally to grow the county’s visitor economy, coordinate promotion of the county nationally as a great place to live, work, visit, study and invest and performs a number of destination and place marketing roles.
The Communications Executive will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of VCD’s communication activity, media relations, press launches, story generation, briefings and copywriting to communicate the county’s offer to regional, national and international audiences.
Candidates should be educated to degree level, have significant experience in a communications role, a proven track record of generating positive media coverage and have experience of press and PR activity including photocalls, press launches and press trips.
