Account Manager (Rail)

Our client a well established reputable global rail organisation requires an experienced Account Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organisation who are going through considerable growth, therefore this could lead to other exciting opportunities within the organisation.

Role purpose
Responsible for the management of a number of customer accounts. Establishing and developing new long-term relationships, whilst also servicing and developing existing accounts. To be the link between the customer and the company anticipating and understanding the customer's needs and offering solutions. To work with Managers and Directors across the business to ensure those needs are met and that the customer receives excellent customer care and service. To create credibility, build strong lasting customer relationships and earn the customer's trust. To contribute to the annual Business Development Plan and its key objectives which contributes to the overall Company Strategic Plan.
Core Competencies / Technical Requirements
Ability to demonstrate good commercial understanding, manage contracts / clients and be able to demonstrate this from previous roles
Contribute to the planning of long and medium term strategic direction of the business ensuring growth and financial success.
Agree the management account strategy and set objectives about that account management.
Carry out continuous market analysis and research on the dynamics of the account.
Deliver key sales and marketing objectives to ensure profitable outcomes for the business.
Agree the price strategy & structure for the customer.
Manage conflict and conduct effective negotiations and sales strategies which minimise the risk to the business.
Lead regular account reviews with managers in the business.
Interact and communicate with the client on a regular basis to monitor contract performance, identify new opportunities and feed market intelligence back into to the business.
Working effectively and positively with the Management Team to agree and develop the organisation's culture and values and leading by example in the delivery of these.
Adhere to and comply with the Company's Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies at all times.
To participate in the Company appraisal process maintaining at all times the levels of professional competency laid out in this Job Description.
Proven track record of sales and account management.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Sales/ Engineering/Management qualification.
Significant experience of the Rail Industry.
Significant experience of sales and marketing/ customer service or account management.

This is a full time Permanent position my client are offering an attractive starting salary of upto GBP50000 per annum plus other fantastic benefits.
