Mechanical Design Engineer

GBP25,000 - GBP30,000 + 25 days holiday + Bank holidays and Christmas and Benefits Package.
A Mechanical Design Engineer role has become available in a world leading company. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who is a Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineer with 3D CAD design experience.
To apply for this role, you must have a strong understanding of 3D CAD, the candidate will have an advantage if they have worked with Solid works, Autodesk Inventor or Vault. Applicants from ANY electro-mechanical product development industry will be considered.
The role itself will involve producing and maintaining CAD models and drawings working alongside sales staff, project managers and customers to produce drawings of design proposals. You will have to have excellent skills in problem solving as 10% of the job is continuous improvements in new project. The role is Monday to Friday in an open plan work shop where you will be working with 3 other engineers.

The role:
* Designing a range of bespoke mechanical products
* Create and Maintain 3D CAD models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor 2016 and Solidworks 2016
* Continuous improvements on new projects.
* Managing projects and provide project feedback to management team.
* Prototype building.
* Day's based role - Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00
The Candidate:
* Knowledge and understanding of sheet metal work and plastic mouldings
* Have experience in 3D Design Engineering
* Able to communicate technical details to non-technical people and build good relationships
* Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering
* High attention to detail
* Experience of using Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor and Vault will be a huge advantage
