Hull Culture & Leisure Ltd is looking for a number of individuals to be responsible for the security and access to and from the Theatre and Halls venues for staff, visitors, contractors, touring companies and performers. This includes service two of Hull's prestigious venues - Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre.
The successful candidates will join the service at an exciting time during Hull's year in the spotlight as UK City of Culture in 2017 and will play a key role in Hull New Theatre's future as a world-class venue which opened in September 2017 following major refurbishment.
The individuals will be expected to oversee deliveries to and from a busy service yard as well as monitoring CCTV and fire alarm panel. As the first point of contact for visitors to the venues this post requires individuals who can provide excellent customer service as well as ensuring health and safety/security procedures are followed. Problem solving and the ability to make quick decisions are essential. Some manual handling will be required to assist with deliveries. Basic numeracy, literacy and IT skills are also required with the ability to carry out administration duties relevant to the post. A health and safety certificate, First Aid Certificate and/or SIA badge would be an advantage. Hours of work include evenings and weekends on a regular basis therefore a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
