Electrical Project Engineer (Competitive Salary)

Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialised products and looking for a Maintenance Project Engineer to join their Engineering Team. Reporting into the Maintenance and Engineering Manager you will be responsible for a range of projects across the business but also support general maintenance within the business.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for dealing quickly and effectively with electrical, instrumentation problems and breakdowns across the site
Provide technical support to departments to ensure the production operates effectively
Carry our planned servicing, inspection and installation work when required.
To undertake preventative maintenance and safety checks on a regular basis, including undertaking risk assessments
Responsibility for operation and maintenance of the site safety systems
To liaise with subcontractors/suppliers and ensuring they adhere to H&S when onsite
Work alongside the purchasing department to develop and improve supplier and subcontractor relationship
The implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a preventative maintenance and capital expenditure plan
Support the Engineering and Maintenance Manager to identify capital expenditure projects to achieve strategic development plan
Writing of technical specifications for projects
Support and help with the development of maintenance team members as required.
Identification of CAPEX Projects
Conduct and train other in risk assessments
Support and facilitate quality, lean and CI projects

Person Specification
Time served in electrical maintenance
Educated to HNC level or equivalent
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work on own initiative
Experience of working in a similar projects or controls engineering role
Previous experience of managing CAPEX projects from start to completion
