Trainee Maths Teacher Specification

You will be a confident Maths graduate who has graduated with at least a 2:1 degree and is excited by the thought of a career as a Maths Teacher. The school wants to see graduates who are confident, enthusiastic and ideally have already had some experience working alongside young adults (possibly as a Maths tutor/Maths Teaching Assistant). The school are hoping to recruit a Maths graduate who is able to explain Maths concepts easily and is able to commit to a 2 year paid teacher training programme.

About the Trainee Maths Teacher

Beginning the programme as a Teaching Assistant, this unique and innovative Secondary PGCE programme is extended over two years within one Secondary school; providing you with the time and familiarity crucial to aiding your pedagogical development. Utilising the consistent and excellent tutelage this PGCE programme will deliver, the aspiring Maths Teacher will inevitably transform into a confident educational practitioner by completion.
