Insights Analyst (Research & Analysis) - Digital Marketing Agency

The Insights Analyst Role:
The Insights Analyst will be collecting and analysing data to present to clients from a range of sources to inform their strategies.
This will include the collection and analysis of data through designing and running surveys, focus groups and interviews with a range of stakeholders including prospective students, current students and University staff. The Insights Analyst will have full responsibility for client projects and therefore must be able to prioritise their work from project set up through to analysis and client presentations. The Insights Analyst will also have responsibility training and mentoring more junior insight staff in research methods.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
+ Liaising with clients on calls and in person to negotiate and agree research projects
+ Preparing briefs and commissioning research
+ Formulating a plan or proposal and presenting it to the client or senior management
+ Writing and managing the distribution of surveys and questionnaires
+ Moderating focus groups
+ Conducting qualitative or quantitative surveys, which may involve field, interview or focus group assessments
+ Using statistical software to manage and organise information
+ Monitoring the progress of research projects
+ Analysing and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data from a range of sources to identify patterns and solutions, including surveys and focus group transcripts
+ Writing detailed reports and presenting results
+ Advising clients or senior management on how to best use research findings
+ Run longitudinal analysis
+ Regularly produce content, i.e. blogs and webinars
+ Work with the Head of Insight and Analytics to develop the research offerings
+ Complete training for analysts within the team on new software and industry developments
Insights Analyst Requirements:
Education and Training:
+ Degree educated - Degrees of interest: Anthropology, Geography, Psychology, Social Sciences, Sociology
Knowledge and Experience:
+ Minimum 2 years working within a research focussed role ideally in market research
+ Knowledge of MRS Code of Conduct/DPA and GDPR
+ Experience working with/in the higher education sector highly sought
+ Quantitative and qualitative research experience
+ Use of specialist research tools including survey tools e.g. Surveymonkey, Surveygizmo
+ Excellent Excel knowledge

+ The ability to delegate
+ Self Motivated
+ Strategically minded

+ Technically proficient
