Quality Manager (Supplier focus and production support) requirements include -
* Attending to supplier related issues and meeting customer expectations
* Ensuring processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented and maintained
* Conducting visits and audits at customer plants as required
* Investigating all quality issues related to the supplier & customer
* Meeting with suppliers and customers on a regular basis to develop, implement and manage key performance indicators
* Managing, coaching and developing a high performing Quality operations team
* Providing technical expertise to the team
* Attending and leading quality issues encountered in production
* Meeting with production/maintenance teams to discuss performance/quality issues
* Conducting process/machine audits
* Leading investigations of root cause analysis for in process concerns using 8D, SPC, 5Y etc
* Maintaining 5S for quarantine areas
* Ensuring suppliers are meeting supplier KPIs
* Complying with the environmental management requirements of the company
Desirables for this Quality Manager opportunity -
* Previous experience working for a supplier to the Automotive Sector
* Experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of ISO/TS16949/IATF
* Proactive work ethic
* Excellent team leader
* Strong customer & supplier management experience
* Working knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, SPS,5Y analysis
* Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing skills
* Relevant engineering/manufacturing degree or HND, BTec/NVQ equivalent
