Warehouse Packers

gap personnel in Yeovil are looking to recruit 25 warehouse packers and packaging operatives for a large warehouse based in Shepton Mallet.

With their busy period due, our client is starting to recruit warehouse packers and packaging operatives to assist for their busy Christmas period. With their businesses continued growth these roles are able to offer candidates that excel the opportunity of a full time position in January 2018.

The role will include -

• Unloading and breaking down of original packaging
• Re-packaging of items
• Creating 'selectionboxes' of 5 variety items
• Wrapping, labelling, batch codes, palletising
• Work from pictorial instructions of display
• Ensure all items are packaged correctly and maintaining quality control
• Maintaining all work areas and working in an efficient manner

Training for the role will be on a 1-2-1 basis and you will work on a production line in teams of 8. Throughout the day you will be able to move to different stations, enabling you to have a variety of work throughout the day.

There is a choice of 2 shifts available across a 5 day working pattern.

• Shift 1 - 6am-2pm Monday to Friday
• Shift 2 - 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday

Shift 1 and Shift 2 are not rotational so you are able to choose which shift you would prefer.
