SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP37,800 - GBP51,000 DOE + benefits

THE ROLE: Security Lead (Physical and Personal) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced physical and personal security professional to join the Group Security function. The successful candidate will lead the organisation's management of physical, personal and travel security across its global footprint. They will also need to create and deliver upon strategic plans; developed in collaboration key stakeholders and respective divisional leads, to ensure that physical, personal and travel security risks are identified, understood and proactively managed.

The Group has recognised the need to formalise and improve its physical, personal and travel security arrangements across the whole organisation. The successful applicant will be joining the newly formed Group Security function. This newly created function was created to ensure that the organisation can operate securely globally and protect its people, premises and assets.

Key Responsibilities to include: - Security Lead (Physical and Personal) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

• Contribute to the Group Security strategic plan and roadmap; with ownership of the physical and personal (including travel) security elements
• Deliver risk based physical and personal security controls, appropriate to the business context.
• Be the Group's Subject Matter Expert on physical and personal security and point of contact for enquiries and assistance
• Contribute to the Group Security's employee awareness program
• Provide assistance, guidance and mentoring to the travel team.
• Conduct internal auditing of physical and personal security controls across the Group

Key experience for the role: Security Lead (Physical and Personal) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

• Proven experience of managing physical, personal and travel security is essential
• The ability to understand the business context and apply pragmatic, enabling security controls
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with audiences at various levels/grades of the business and build a strong and credible reputation within the organisation

DESIRABLE

• Experience of managing the security of people traveling to high threat environments is desirable
• Experience of auditing physical, personal and travel security is desirable
• Experience of managing physical security in a high assurance environment is highly desirable
• Qualifications and experience from defence, police or CPNI in the physical, personal and travel security disciplines are desirable

The following qualifications are welcomed (desirable) to demonstrate an understanding of security and risk:

• PSP
• Graduate or post-graduate qualification in risk, resilience or security
• Military, Police or CPNI sector qualifications
• Management of Risk (MoR)
• IRM qualification
• Other qualification in risk
