The Cover Supervisor Person Specification
For this Cover Supervisor role, you must be a motivated graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree. The new Cover Supervisor will have worked with Secondary aged children before in either a volunteer or paid role. The perfect candidate will be able to exhibit the right attitude and drive that will allow them to excel in the teaching field for the rest of their career. The ideal new individual will have the foresight, organisational skills, and calm head to overcome any challenging situations them might run into during the course of their day.
About the Cover Supervisor role
This Cover Supervisor role will require you to cover classes in the absence of the regular class teachers, often supported by other class Teachers who will mentor you. You will support students in their learning up to KS4. Your strengths and weaknesses will be highlighted by the teachers you work with, who will the help you by designing a CPD plan and various training activities to help you develop your teaching technique. Aspiring teachers are often given the option of staying on at the school to complete their teacher training through the school's impressive and thorough School Direct teacher training package.
