Role: HSE Manager
Location: Cannock
Salary: GBP45'000 - GBP50'000
Benefits: Fully-expensed company car, pension
Requirements: HSE Manager
-Experienced health, safety & environment professional operating at OHSAS 18001 and ISO14001 levels
-NEBOSH Qualified
-Self-starter, able to operate on a multi-site basis to secure sustained, continuous improvements (Sites include Worcester & Loughborough)
-Gravitas and persuasive characteristics to secure group-wide improvements in health, safety & environmental practices
-Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, preferably plastics-related
-Genuine interest in and eagerness to keep abreast of best practice in health, safety & environmental management practices
Responsibilities: HSE Manager
-Analysis of group-wide gap analysis
-Identification of best practices
-Keeping group operations directors and group-wide managers abreast of regulatory environment
-Implementation of best practice across group manufacturing facilities
Personal Attributes: HSE Manager
-Must have credibility on shop floor and with managers. Can communicate comfortably throughout the business.
-Has the confidence to discuss their points, in private, with a team leader or operations director. Understands production pressures to deliver numbers.
-An understanding of lean tools (5S, standardised work, work & waste, data analysis & visual factory, problem solving, TPM, layout etc) would be ideal, as lean implementation is part of our journey.
-Can plan an activity, basic agenda and can call brief meetings. Is comfortable with leading 30 min. or 1-hour review meetings in a punchy, structured way
