5 shift managers reporting to them who look after a team of 5.

Key Requirements:
Manufacturing background is required
Chemical experience is preferred but other manufacturing industries are OK (food, pharma etc)
COMAH knowledge is very useful
Key idea to gather ideas and suggestions for improvements on site from an operational perspective
Meeting delivery targets / KPIs - Look for key trends, themes, areas from the detail.
Draw out messages from the data and turn it into a message that can be relayed for the plant/

What you can expect:
As a Production Manager on the Bradford site, your main responsibility will be to provide operational leadership to the production shift teams in order to meet the production output targets in a safe and cost effective manner.

You will promote and demonstrate high EHS standards amongst team members and ensure the appropriate proactive and reactive actions are taken to effect a
continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Also, you will be responsible for the optimisation of the production plant, ensuring that product is manufactured at the maximum rate to the agreed quality.
You will utilize the appropriate resources to ensure all agree actions are completed and that departmental targets are met.
You will lead, coach and develop employees within the team, as well as ensuring effective training takes place for them in order to meet role requirements.

What we expect:
You are educated to degree level in Chemistry or Engineering.
You have gained experience in managing EHS and COMAH requirements in a manufacturing operations environment.
You are competent in all aspects of managing a chemical manufacturing operations team.
You have proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate across, and within teams.
You also have excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
You have the ability to create an environment conducive to good working relations.
Finally, the position also requires negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Benefits:

Variable pay/bonus
The Company operates a remuneration package which includes Variable Pay.
The Target Variable Pay amount is set each year for each job grade and is communicated on an annual basis. The variable pay year runs from 1 January to 31 December. The actual variable pay is linked to Company and Employee performance and is normally paid as part of the April payroll, in the year following the variable pay year.

Overtime
Overtime, if applicable, will be paid on the basis set out in the Overtime Policy.

Hours of Work:
37 hours per week.

Holidays:
Annual paid holiday entitlement is 25 days plus the 8 UK official Bank Holidays provided you have completed a year’s service.

Additional:
This is Perm role.
Base 55-60k & Target bonus (Around 9195k for 2017) + Car or car allowance (£7,602) + Share scheme + Bupa + 25 days holidays + Bank Holidays
