Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Associate to join our new EPC (Entrepreneurial and Private Client) Tax team, which provides tax services and advice to privately-owned, entrepreneurial, family businesses and owners in Northern Ireland.

About the role

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work closely with a variety of tax specialists providing personal and corporate tax advice to owner managed business in Northern Ireland.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Support the delivery of personal and corporate tax planning projects and ad-hoc tax advisory work.
  • Support the business development of the EPC Tax team
  • Proactively work with senior colleagues in managing and controlling deliverables, deadlines and project finances of clients
  • Contributing to the development of personal and team knowledge
  • Building your own network of contacts through regular attendance at internal and external meetings
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation
Requirements
  • Studying towards or interested in studying for ACA/CTA (or similar) qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (ability to communicate with non-tax specialists is key)
  • Passion for client service and interest in understanding your clients business
  • Able to prioritise workloads efficiently to cope with high volumes of work to deadlines and meet the changing needs of clients
  • Self -motivated and continuously learns from experiences.
  • Experience as a team player that can assist colleagues with a range of tax consultancy tasks and maintain the team's' excellent service to clients at all times
  • Interested in high quality challenging work.
