Make a difference to the lives of older people by joining Abbeyfield. Volunteers are the lifeblood of Abbeyfield and as a care and housing Charity we are now supported by over 4500 volunteers. The central Volunteering Team assist over 500 Abbeyfield homes to help them develop and provide a good experience for our volunteers. We are now looking for a full time Volunteering Officer to join our team.
The Volunteering Officer will:
- Support the implementation of Abbeyfields Volunteering Strategy
- Promote volunteering opportunities across a diverse range of audiences
- Lead on projects to increase the number of volunteers at Abbeyfield
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with volunteers, be an excellent communicator, well organised, proficient in MS Office and have the ability to work flexibly using their own initiative and within a team.
