Community and Sustainability Coordinator

A Students Union based in Coventry are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and vibrant Community and Sustainability Coordinator who can coordinate their Student and Halls Warden Scheme, and strengthen community relationships between students, local residents and working partnerships.

The Community and Sustainability Coordinator role involves managing student enquiries living in the community and reporting all issues arising from our Student and Hall Wardens, and the Tenant's Union.

You will encourage student participation in community and neighbourhood projects and events, and train and mentor student volunteers in the student warden system. You will also carry out research to explore ways of integrating sustainability into CUSU’s services; aiming to raise our standards and achieve relevant charter marks relating to sustainability and the environment.  

You will hold experience of working with students or young people, together with experience of coordinating projects or voluntary schemes. Knowledge of crime prevention and housing issues is an essential requirement together with the ability to manage conflict and difficult situations. You will also be able to create and maintain excellent administrative systems and produce written reports.

This post is working full-time 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. A flexible approach to working hours is required.
