Fire Alarm Engineer / Fire Extinguisher Engineer 

Our client has been established for over 75 years and are a UK leading fire protection company with offices across the country.  Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting Fire Alarm Engineers based at their Watford depot to service established key client accounts throughout the South East. You must be tenacious, ambitious and demonstrate a willingness to succeed. This is a field based full time position.

Please be advised that on commencement an application will be made for an enhanced DBS Certificate.

A keen interest in the delivery of exceptional customer service and in sales is an essential attribute in order to be successful in this role. High levels of literacy and verbal & written communication skills are required.

Only applications from experienced Service and Maintenance Fire Alarm Engineers will be considered.

Experience

  • Working experience with planned maintenance of fire detection systems.
  • Knowledge of basic servicing and installation (and commissioning where applicable) of various Fire Alarm systems (Gent, Protec and Advanced would be desirable) to BAFE SP203.
  • Suitable applicants must have experience in general fire alarm servicing & maintenance, remedial work and where applicable small installation works.
  • The ability to hold an autonomous role, and demonstrate excellent time management.
  • A full clean EU driving licence is essential.

The following would be advantageous:

  • IPAF and PASMA Certification.
  • Standard fire alarm accreditations.
  • An understanding of Health & Safety at work.

Electrical qualifications would be an advantage for example, City & Guilds Alarms/Maintenance/Fault Finding, or an equivalent qualification.

Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week: 8am - 5pm Monday – Friday.

Salary: dependent  on experience.

20 days holiday plus all statutory holidays.
