Primary Teaching Assistant - Walsall
This exciting Teaching Assistant rople is designed for a graduate, with a 2:1 or above, who has aspirations of becoming a primary teacher.

An Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' primary school, based in Walsall, has approached Edustaff to help recruit a number Graduate Teaching Assistants to join them on a full time basis. These Teaching Assistant positions will commence immediatley.
Located in Walsall this large primary school benefits from a diverse mix of pupils, a warm caring and friendly atmosphere and a team of dedicated teaching and support staff. The school is easily reached via excellent public transport links with the addition of secure on site parking.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be tasked, primarily, with literacy at Key Stage 2. In addition you will be expected to provide support to class teachers in all aspects of curriculum delivery. Candidates will be expected to support both the high and low achievers in school, and will be working and supporting the gifted and talented, as well as pupils who require support to obtain the required attainment levels.
Candidates must be able to form strong working relationships with both students and the class teacher. Candidates need to be extremely flexible, organised with the ability to use their initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do next. They need to be committed to a career in education and want to fully immerse themselves in school life, thus maximising the benefit to the pupils and at the same time their own experience. All of which will provide an excellent spring board to a career as a teacher in a primary school. Candidates with experience/qualifications in Makaton will be shown preference as these skills will be put to good effect in the school.
