INTERNAL SALES ENGINEER (CONTROL / INSTRUMENTATION): CHESHIRE BASED. GBP33-38K BASIC PLUS BONUS, PENSION, HEALTHCARE AND MORE. WORLD LEADING COMPANY.

We are presently seeking an internal sales engineer for this client.

The Role

Principle Job Responsibilities
?? Front-line telephone & email enquiry response
?? Primary responsibility for responding to RFQs with the preparation & delivery of proposals to
customers within the defined lead times
?? Coordinates with customers, Field Sales, Sales Representatives & Service to identify applications &
offer creative solutions that meet application & operational needs & convince prospective customers
?? Prepare customer quotations that are on time, technically accurate, commercially verified, offering
the best solution
?? Follow-up on quotations with customers as agreed with Field Sales
?? Maintain accurate & complete records in CRM
?? Ensure that purchase orders are commercially complete & accurate before processing for order entry
in accordance with company procedures
?? Answer customer technical & commercial queries, providing advice on technical solutions & benefits
?? Communicate with manufacturing locations for queries regarding lead-time, specials, etc
?? On occasion it may be necessary to attend customer meetings, including customer site visits
?? Ensure all activities are carried out in line with agreed company procedures including fulfilment of
ISO9001 commitments
?? Attend relevant technical training as required to maintain a high level of product & process
knowledge, including new products as & when released
?? Other responsibilities as reasonably required

?? Have a professional, confident telephone manner & be comfortable making outbound calls
?? Ability to work independently & as part of a team; self-motivation & the ability to self-manage is
essential in this role as the successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative & with
minimal supervision after the completion of the induction period
?? An eye for detail along with the ability to prioritise & meet deadlines
?? Externally focused with a drive to fully understand & exceed customer needs
?? Candidate must have competence in Mathematics & English, strong oral & written communication
skills & the ability to contribute to presentations in a seminar environment; German language skills
would be beneficial but are not essential
?? Proficient with all common Microsoft products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Experience with
Microsoft CRM Dynamics, SharePoint, etc. would be beneficial
?? Ability to read manufacturing drawings, P&IDs & understand process systems & applications would be
advantageous
?? Effectively contribute to the teams approach to continuous improvement, e.g. identify & escalate
ideas to the MD for operational process improvements to deliver a better service & improve efficiency

The Ideal Candidate

Engineering or technical qualification preferred, but not essential with relevant experience
Experience in related field - instruments, control systems, automation, electronics etc.
