Application Team Lead
London
£51000 - £65000 per annum
Reporting to the Head of ICT, the ICT application team lead will manage the application support and development function within the business, covering both in-house developed applications and third party provided solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the ICT applications team, including the in-house development team and pension system support team.
* Liaison with external software suppliers to monitor performance; issue resolution; develop applications in line with business requirements
* Mentoring and management of team members, ensuring the team is trained and motivated
* Manage projects and provide technical input into organisation wide projects
* Manage upgrades, incidents and problem resolutions
* Work with the ICT team and external suppliers on application upgrades
* Manage ICT support requests, ensuring tickets are dealt with against agreed timescales
* Work with ICT team lead to ensure systems are backed up and tested
* Feed in to the business planning process
* Produce performance reports to the Head of ICT
* Provide 3rd line support where necessary
Person Specification
The Application Team Lead will have:
* Broad technical knowledge of software development and experience of the development lifecycle, must have experience of:
* Designing and developing software solutions
* Designing and development of SQL server databases
* Software design
* Experience in team leadership
* Business analysis and user requirement gathering
