Database Administrator - SQL/Access

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing data marketing company based in Claydon, Suffolk. The company provide lead generation and data focused marketing services to large and small businesses. They are seeking to hire a 'Production Manager' who would be responsible for all aspects of database administration within a busy and demanding environment. You will oversee the department and help to lead it on a day to day basis. Applicants must be able to run complex SQL queries.

The company has huge plans for expansion and is led by three highly focused and successful directors who have years and years of industry experience.

The production manager would be responsible for:
- Administration & maintenance of their 40 million record MS SQL Server Database
- Running database queries and stored procedures to produce reports
- Various data manipulation, such as; detailed counts on the database, appending, de-duplication, flagging, profiling, cleansing, formats & layouts, etc.
- Managing ad-hoc projects as required, for example, database integration
- Extract data and create a data file based on a customer's criteria
- Outputting customer data deliveries to FTP
- Creating post strings if needed
- Processing supplier data deliveries
- Database security, backups & restores if required
- Working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Ensuring data integrity and legal compliance with data protection
- Providing input into new technologies that may be adopted by the company
- Contact with clients in the event of an issue with their data delivery
- Liaise with sales team and accounts department regarding customer orders
- Managing the department

Skills required include:
- Good knowledge of MS SQL Server query language
- Knowledge of Access databases
- SSIS and SSRS advantageous
- Basic HTML skills desirable
- Excel and outlook knowledge
- General networking knowledge
- Well organised and methodical approach
- Fast learner
- Self-motivated and adaptable
