Fire and Security Surveyor (Salary GBP30 - GBP40k with additional bonuses available depending on sales targets being met) is needed to join our sales team based in Peterborough. BusinessWatch is an independent, professional, forward focused & Innovative company and is the area's leading supplier of security alarms, fire alarms and CCTV camera systems.

The ideal Fire and Security Surveyor will be required to carry out fire and security surveys for homes and commercial premises, identifying customer needs and services requirements whilst also developing all business opportunities for the Company. Other key tasks and responsibilities will include:-

- Self-generating new potential business through: Networking, canvassing, cold calling etc.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with new and existing customers
- Carrying out fire and security surveys for homes and commercial premises providing suitable solutions in conjunction with security system and health and safety requirements
- Identifying extra work opportunities and sales lead generation of work
- Completing quotations and presenting them to the customer
- Following up sales quotes and leads accordingly and effectively managing any queries or challenges
- Processing an order to NSI standards (and to the standards of our other accreditations)
- Ensuring full compliance to security standards and implementation of all health and safety requirements
- Keeping up to date records and providing analysis and information on your sales performance
- Hitting required sales targets and analysis on appointments

The Fire and Security Surveyor must have previous experience of Fire and Security Industry. Other attributes will include:-
- Demonstrable successful track record of achievement in a field based sales role
- Technical skills in the security industry
- Appropriate experience in a customer facing environment
- Good IT skills including experience with Microsoft Office
- Commercial understanding in offering alternative solutions
- Able to logically analyse data and processes providing both conventional and more forward thinking solutions
- Able to comply with defined rules and regulations

A recognised qualification within a technical area i.e. City and Guilds Part 1 or Equivalent would be desirable.
