We are seeking STEM graduates who can commit to working as Teaching Assistants throughout this academic year. This post is suited to STEM Graduate who is interested in training to become a secondary science or maths teacher. To be considered you will need to be an enthusiastic and talented graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your STEM degree and ideally has some experience working with children in either a paid or voluntary role.
In this STEM Teaching Assistant post you will be working solely within the Science department. You will be working alongside some outstanding teachers who will be there to support and guide you in your role you will also be provided with a bespoke CPD and training course aimed at preparing graduates for a PGCE or School Direct placement. You will be supporting pupils on a small group and 1:1 basis, helping those who need it most to achieve the targets set. Good communications skills, patience and a passion for science & maths are key elements to the success of this role.
Located within the LEA of Stoke-on-Trent, this secondary school is easily accessible by all forms of transport.
