We are a group of 3 Further Education Colleges, 5 schools, 2 apprenticeship providers and a business school. We run four colleges in Saudi Arabia and do international work in China, India and South East Asia. We serve approximately 30,000 students across our group each year.
Our focus is on learning and enabling all who work with us to gain the skills, knowledge and attributes to gain employment and be promotable and successfully employed for as long as they want. We concentrate on what motivates learning and creating the emotional environment for all of us at Activate Learning to gain confidences and resilience to learn how to develop ourselves. To achieve this we work closely with businesses to understand their needs and involve them in our developments.
We are looking to appoint an experienced senior administrator to support our clerk to the corporation and CEO. This is a critical role that requires someone with first class written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, that is able to work on their own initiative, has the ability to remain calm under pressure to meet tight deadlines and can be relied upon at all times, along with bags of energy and enthusiasm towards their work. We want someone who is curious and interested in learning themselves.
On a day to day basis the role holder will be attending meetings, typing minutes / agendas and producing reports as necessary, chasing/circulating information, scheduling/arranging meetings and events, booking car parking/venues etc., liaising with Senior Managers/Governors and others as required. They will need to be completely trustworthy and discreet as much of the information will be highly confidential.
In return we offer great job prospects, the opportunity to be part of a growing organisation, a good salary (based on experience) with company pension scheme and 30 days holiday (pro-rata for part time) as well as on-going training/support.
Activate Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants for this post must be willing to undergo child protection training. A full enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken and references will be sought from previous employers prior to interview.
