Leicester
Salary: £31,095 pa + £1,200 pa car allowance
Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity – 18 Months
Hours: 35 per week
Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Fire Safety Surveyor on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Leicester.
They currently have an opportunity for a Fire Safety Surveyor to join their dedicated team in the Midlands and they really want to hear from you if;
You have knowledge and previous experience of surveying buildings, fire safety provisions and health and safety requirements;
You are familiar with reading and understanding building plans.
You have the ability to analyse data and information, write detailed and accurate reports and understand current legislation, British standards and guides;
You are familiar with the Housing Act 2004
You are familiar with the RRFSO 2005
You are a team player with excellent communication skills at all levels but have the ability to work on your own initiative with a focus on completing works to the highest standards;
You are a passionate and motivated individual who is willing to learn and demonstrate your ability to think outside of the box;
You are customer focused
You are educated to degree level or equivalent in a Surveying related subject.
The successful candidate will provide full support to the fire safety team and report directly to the fire safety manager, working across a wide geographical area. Within this role, you will be responsible for attending site meetings with contractors, the fire service and enforcing authorities. You will be carrying out pre and post site inspections, preparing detailed reports and schedules for completion of works. Part of your duties will be assisting the fire safety manager with administration, audits, reviewing consultant and contractor performance and maintaining the assets information database.
