The UK's leading and best-known food on the go retailer is currently looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager at their production facility in Treforest, near Pontypridd.

The Role
Reporting to the Bakery Operations Manager, you would lead a team of Maintenance Engineers responsible for ensuring all plant breakdowns are repaired as quickly and as effectively as possible, developing and instilling a culture of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence throughout the site. You would manage the development of the engineering business plan and budget, recruiting and motivating a team of talented engineering professionals, monitoring KPIs, playing a key role in site improvement activities and supporting Lean rollout.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role will be HNC qualified in a relevant electrical / mechanical engineering discipline, with significant experience supervising and motivating a team of technicians and engineers within previous production / FMCG settings. In-depth technical and operational experience will be essential.

Strong communication skills along with the ability to communicate at all levels will be required, as will excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and manage a varied workload, plus the drive to motivate a team to consistently exceed targets and achieve results.
