Hours:  37 hours per week- Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet business needs


Salary:  £23,816 - £29,046 per annum which is Point A32 – Point A39 on the Senior Officer Grade of the Support Salary Scale

Job Purpose: 

The post-holder will be required to provide competent advice on any occupational health, safety and welfare or first aid issues and give support and assistance to enable staff to discharge their responsibilities as set out in Kingston Maurward College’s Health and Safety Policy.  The post-holder will also be required to act as Kingston Maurward College’s Competent Person as required by legislation.




 Kingston Maurward is a beautiful estate on the outskirts of Dorchester in the heart of Hardy Country that boasts a listed Manor House and formal gardens, protected parkland and a rich landscape heritage.  The estate is home to a land based further education college, working farm and visitor attractions.  It’s a busy estate with a range of activities and events taking place throughout the year.

The post holder will have an overview of all aspects of health & safety and first aid within the business, assisting the Corporation, Principal and Senior Management Team (SMT) and staff at all levels to fulfil their responsibilities under the College Health & Safety Policy including all relevant legislation. This will include working with key staff to ensure that first class advice, support and guidance is provided to learners, staff and employers.
