We are looking for a Group Manager who leads from the front, understands financials, can guide and train people to manage a successful unit as well as maintain a profitable portfolio of contracts that is innovative in its food offerings.
Servest are recruiting for an experienced Group Manager to cover a portfolio of around 10 sites across the Manchester/ Leeds Area. You will be responsible for the onsite Chef Managers, be a direct point of contact for the clients and the face of their business- we are looking for dynamic managers who what to grow with the company and who can bring innovation to their management community. This role is reporting to a Regional Operations Director, the focus will be on driving sales and managing costs in a fast paced commercial environment.
Day to day you will be responsible for finance, compliance, quality and the management of the catering units
You will ensure sites are performing effectively and maintaining employee and customer satisfaction across the board.
You will be happy to travel around your sites, training staff, assisting managers and meeting with clients.
You will be leading, motivating and developing staff using the available skills and resources.
Liaising with Human Resources / Payroll and Operations teams at Head Office to maintain excellent customer service at site level.
Identify opportunities to expand business on sites through organic growth.
Work with HR to effectively carry out disciplinary and grievance hearings.
Skills and experience needed-
We are looking for a background as a Group Managers, Support Managers or Relief Chef Managers within a business and industry catering background.
You will be used to managing a portfolio of at least 7 contract catering sites- a Chef background is essential.
You will have the ability to influence and gain commitment as well as demonstrating a high level of customer focus- this with a passion for food will enable you to maximise the best from your team.
You need a high level of planning and organisational skills as well as the ability to be flexible with working hours- this is not a 9am-5pm role.
This coupled with excellent leadership and influencing skills.
You will be used to finances, labour costs and managing P & Ls together with a strong leadership style with a focus on supporting and developing employees.
Strong IT Skills with a background of producing reports as well as a sound understanding of HR procedures.
Due to the nature of the role we can only progress candidates that have a Full UK driving license as the role is travelling between sites-
Competitive salary up to depending on experience plus, company car, laptop and phone
Hours of work are 40 per week, Flexibility will be needed across the business- some overnight stays and some weekend working may be required.
