Our client works in the four London boroughs of Enfield, Barnet, Haringey and Waltham Forest. Their purpose is to identify local needs, to respond to these needs with local solutions, and to provide excellent local services.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Human Resources to join their team. The HR team adopts a forward-thinking, business-partnering approach, supporting managers and team leaders to meet the Association’s aims and objectives, you will be responsible for operational and strategic HR, including learning and development. 

Managing the HR function and recruitment process, you will support /provide advice to managers and staff on a wide range of HR matters. Aspects such as managing the HR database (Cascade), creating / reviewing HR policies and procedures also forms a large part of the role. Further to this you will manage the recruitment cycle including placing campaigns, liaising with agencies, Interviewing and producing offer materials. You will lead on disciplinary, grievance matters, manage annual salary reviews and performance bonus process, as well as supporting monthly payroll process.

They are looking for a candidate that has proven experience in a generalist HR role, with a strong knowledge of current employment practices and legislation. The Ideal candidate will hold a CIPD qualification, be educated to degree standard and be a competent IT user, including MS Office and HRIS. To be successful you will have previous line management / leadership experience and experience of managing and supporting change and implementing new initiatives. It would be advantageous to have Housing sector experience.
